mixi invite? - kmoeini - 2009-05-25 Hi guys, I feel like a mooch for asking this, because I do a lot of lurking but am not overly active on this site...but what the hell. I tried logging onto Mixi and it says I need an invite...I assume other members can do this...would anyone please invite me? oh, my email is kmoeini at hotmail dot com. Many thanks in advance. mixi invite? - mullr - 2009-05-25 Me too! Me too! mullr (at) pair (dot) com </mooch> mixi invite? - this_is_douglas - 2009-05-25 You do! However, recently, it has changed so you have to have a mobile phone on e.g. Docomo to make an account. I joined before this, so I didn't need one, but any new people do (at least, I'm pretty sure). If you DO want to get an account, drop me a message - I can invite you! Douglas mixi invite? - atreya - 2009-05-25 Only problem is that you require a valid japanese phone mail address to be able to register in Mixi. If you don't have that, then you can't register even if you get an invite. mixi invite? - kmoeini - 2009-05-25 Thanks guys! Douglas, I'll send you a pm. mixi invite? - vengeorgeb - 2009-05-25 For those of you that have actually used Mixi. Can you explain what it is about and how is different from other social networks like Facebook, Hi5, Orkut, FriendFeed, etc. I read somewhere that Japanese culture and how they "do their stuff" has a lot to do on how Mixi is structured. What do you think? mixi invite? - bodhisamaya - 2009-05-25 I have a mixi account but never really used it. I got an invite from a Japanese friend who admitted she never uses it either. She claimed it was kind of boring, preferring Myspace for social connecting. |
