What are some good Unlicensed Manga? - crayonmaster - 2009-05-21 Nuriko Wrote:I'm pretty sure it's still unlicensed -- Reading Yamada Tarou Monogatari is what took me from the beginner to intermediate stage of manga reading. It is the story about "the boy with no faults.. except for that he's poor!" <-- "そんな彼の唯一の欠点は。。。貧乏な事である!" At first it was tough to read, but once past the first volume, I felt a huge level up in my reading ability and speed.Quite an interesting story, I could get into this one. Thanks! What are some good Unlicensed Manga? - Nuriko - 2009-05-22 You're welcome to you guys who found the Tarou suggestion helpful. Isn't great how Tarou takes everything food-related so seriously? XD Especially in volume 2 when it's Valentines Day... that's when the story's type of comedy really establishes itself. For me the Sugiura/Yamada situation that goes on over the course of the series is what makes it There are also drama CDs. If anyone's interested, let me know. What are some good Unlicensed Manga? - yukamina - 2009-05-23 Apparently there's a drama for Tarou too. It's hard for me to get used to what they did with Sugiura though... In the manga he's narcissitic and even somewhat refined, but in the drama he's still narcissistic but has a really annoying slacker/"cool"/bad boy character (even though he has the third best grades in the class, which is staying true to the manga). Oh well, it's a pretty entertaining show
