Hi, the idea of this topic is sharing things we do IN Japanese, not about Japanese.
Are you reading a book or manga? Maybe writing a blog in Japanese? Are you playing a videogame in Japanese? Did you go somewhere with your Japanese friends/GF/BF/family/whatever?
Studying is good, but this thread isn't for sharing how many SRS reps you did today, or which method are you using for learning kanji, vocabulary, grammar or anything. If you're reading a book ON Japanese, more power to you, but this thread isn't for that. If you're reading a book IN Japanese, you're welcome!
Let's share all those fun things we do in the language we're learning!
Let me start... lately I've been interested in Ubuntu, so I installed it in my computer using a virtual machine - see Virtualbox - in Japanese. Actually, it was pretty simple, and I love how easy is to install Ubuntu in Japanese, or adding it -or other languages- after the installation. Actually, you can change the language each time you boot at the log in screen and it changes the system's interface as well as the programs you have installed, so no more need for adding add-ons to Firefox to change its interface.
What about you, what have you done lately in Japanese?

Anyway, they're quite obscure, and I was wondering if they actually have any CDs or anything available for purchase. So I e-mailed the guy who posted them on Youtube, in Japanese of course, since he seems to play sax for them sometimes. And, I said, hey, you guys rock, where can I find your music?

Went to book-off, bought the first two Harry Potter books in Japanese and started reading. I was a bit surprised because everyone has said there isn't much furigana, but it's only for common kanji and compounds. The first time a kanji or compound is used it usually has furigana, so those that want to give Harry Potter a shot, should.

Yeah I'm still mad I didn't bring my copy with me when I came to Japan (I'm only here for 4 months, so I figured I could wait). Now I'm kicking myself because over the past few days I've had such a strong urge to start reading it in Japanese.
But other than that... today I haven't done much in Japanese except read about program to convert images so they will work nicely on one of those reader things (like the Sony PRS-505). Then I shot a couple of texts back and forth with a friend in Japanese. Other than that, about to go to some RtK and then watch a movie in Japanese for one of my classes.

Listen to j-Dramas on my iPod (all day thing). Do my reviews/study (daily thing), read about 10 or so pages of a dramanote script (daily evening thing).
Outside of that, I'm trying to make it a habit to read the fnn.news posts everyday. I may even try out that fan fiction site that was posted in essential resources. Gods I burn way too much time on English stuff.

Edit: Just out of interest (and because I am a complete newbie when it comes to computers
), how does Virtualbox work? From what I understand, you are able to install a different OS "into" an already existing OS. I presume you are using Ubuntu "inside" of a Windows OS. Don't they use a different file system altogether?

Since it's early morning here, I'll go with yesterday.
I watched the latest episode of London Hearts. I'm still not good enough to understand it all, but it's gotten more and more enjoying since I started (some people here might remember the thread where I whined about my lacking listening abilities).
I read ダーリンは外国人2課, fun manga for adults about marriage between Japanese and foreigners.
Like Nukemarine, I try to train my news reading as well, reading some articles on news.tbs.co.jp. I also try to spend some time on Japanese wikipedia each day as well.
I'm reading a novel called ドロップ which is apparently pretty popular in Japan, but lately I've had very little time to spare so I haven't read it in a few days
On a side note, I also listened to some Mandarin TV and listened to a mandarin tape in very basic introduction.

That's why it doesn't matter how different the OSes are, to the foreign OS, it's the only OS installed. And it is, on the virtual computer.

So I guess it is impossible to exchange or directly access files etc.? For example running Anki on Ubuntu using a database stored in Windows. Would be pretty cool if that was possible.

I've been playing 洞窟物語 (aka Cave Story) again lately, an incredible side scroller action adventure game developed entirely by one guy and released for free on the Internet. Originally played through in English two years ago, loved it to pieces, and a friend who recently discovered the game has been talking about it which gave me a huge craving to replay it. This time, in Japanese, of course! I finished it today, finally completing the sacred ground "hell level".
I highly recommend it. It's primarily a side scrolling action game, but there's quite a bit of story and dialogue involved, so there's plenty of juicy 日本語 to wade through (generally on the easier side of reading). And free! AND for Windows, Mac, Linux and PSP as well.
With that game complete, I'm considering starting up another game soon, perhaps another old favorite such as Final Fantasy 6.

Hm, today not really anything YET. Read a little bit on mixi, wrote a message in Japanese, that's pretty much it. (cleaned my stupid and dirty Japanese balcony - does that count? （；^ω^） ...)
Yesterday I listened to a lot of Japanese during work as every day as almost everybody around me is Japanese anyway. I read the beginning of volume 2 of そんな声だしちゃイヤ！ (bought at Book-Off) and watched the first episode of 魔女裁判 (but with subtitles - these kind of dramas are still too difficult for me). Big 生田斗真 fan here. At least I watched one of his previous dramas (魔王) live on tv and thus without any subs. I managed to understand enough.
I think that was all as I had a normal working day yesterday.
Today's a day off, so I might continue playing a 乙女ゲーム I'm into lately: いじわる My Master.
The text in there is quite easy, so I can enjoy it AND understand what's going on for the most part (*^-゜)vィェィ♪

1,listened to a jpod (does that count?)
2,i have my マキシマムザホルモン CD's in my car to listen to, to and from work (even if i didnt study japanese i'd listen to these guys. hard to explain how brilliant they are)
3, checked blogs. i read Higa Manami's blog. not just becos shes attractive but she updates regular. seems to do lots of random stuff and has video and audio up every few days too.
still to do,
random listening. will throw my media player on as background noise while i sentence/rtk for some passive. will listen to the jpod again later. will probably watch an episode of Peace Maker Kurogane or Ghost in the shell : SAC later before i go to sleep.

I had a debate today in class. I was arguing that they should get rid of school uniforms in Japan. Being a group project, it was really frustrating trying to deal with team members who are uninterested, or aren't quite at this level of Japanese competence.
Our argument was really weak, and I didn't have a strong opinion, so I got really frustrated during it.
We've been doing this debate for about 8 weeks now, and it's been nothing but a waste of time (in terms of actually learning anything Japanese).
