Here's some really simple childrens' Bible stories in Japanese. If you click on the title image, you'll find a list of other language versions too.

I thought it might be helpful for people looking for easier sources to start reading. I haven't checked the Japanese version except to see that it has furigana, but the Korean version is more beginner friendly than other picture books out there. Maybe you'll enjoy the dreadful art too ^w^

(Let's not discuss religion here. These are just kids' stories for reading practice.)

Came for she-bears, left satisfied.

Looks like a good source for some fairly easy words in context. I'm not really religious, but I'll probably read through them. Thanks!

Is it possible to copy the text?

So I can read it with Rikai-Chan?

ouch, you weren't kidding when you said the art was dreadful...

Not that I know of, but I'm not very tech-savvy. I've just been typing up the sentences with new words. The Firefox add-on Split Browser comes in handy here. I can have Trinity, the story page, and an online dictionary up all at once.

You should be able to use this app that I found a while back: http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=2480

I haven't tried it yet but the text looks clean enough that it should work without problems.

What's up with using that weird kanji for かみ? I've never seen it before. Anyone know?

RTK1 use God for this Kanji (神さま).

It looks like the full fleshed out version of 示. Usually, the abbreviation seen on 神's left hand side is used. It may just be an issue of font.

Just an old style font. That's an example of what that kanji must have looked like in Moses' time.

Just joking. Kanji have changed through the years, some considerably.

I don't think you can copy the text because the PDF appears to comprise pre-rendered images. I'm not 100% certain without analysing the files, but that's what it appears like to me.

To get text from images you need an OCR.
