I personally use Chuck Norris (or maybe Chuck Norris uses me?). But I found this on the chucknorrisfacts.com website:

OnT: Mr. T, been a huge A-Team fan back then. Wink

But I use Chuck Norris now and then for Kanji stories that need a superhuman protagonist but do not have the person primitive.

My husband and I just started watching this anime! We rented the first volume tonight. I'm always a little amused at the slight corniness of samurai anime (I couldn't handle more than the first disc of Basilisk), but we like this one.

I'm a Mr. T guy, because, well, he's Mr. T. And I grew up on the A-Team, too.

Who would Mr. T use? Mr. T doesn't need to use anybody. He'd just glare at the kanji until they all jumped into his brain out of fear, and stay remembered.

Because I pity the kanji that doesn't stay remembered...

Mr T doesn't work for me. Sure I watched the A-Team as a kid, but that was basically the same episode over and over again and as a result there isn't much to associate with his character.

Harry on the other hand comes with a rich universe that can be a source of inspiration for stories.

I realize that you're probably joking, but a lot of people do pick a specific person to represent 人. I just kept it as "person".

Well, since I can't stand hearing Chuck Norris jokes (really, c'mon, any asian kung fu superstar could kick his butt), and Mr. T doesn't really do it for me...

I used L from death note. I thought I'd have some trouble making up 100+ stories about him, but every time I get to a new kanji with the person primitive, I get excited. I NEVER forget a story with L, it's too easy to make good stories about him.

I'm proud to have introduced Obama as a personification of this kanji. I think more folks can use him for stories, internationally, than either T. or Norris. Of course, I'm not a fan of the prez, so those stories tend to get reported as if they were pr0n. lol.

I couldn't use Mr. T or Chuck Norris 'cause I barely know who they are. I remember a commercial or something from when I was little with the guy I think is Mr. T. He had a lot of gold necklaces... Chuck Norris I only know about from all those jokes that float around the internet. ._.

I used neither. Instead, I used Haruhi from the 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 series. The guy who though of using her for "person" is a genius.

I used Mr. T, I didn't want to at first as I've never watched the A-team and the only reason I knew his was because of the "I pity the fool" catchphrase. But I saw that almost every top story involved him so I just followed the crowd. In the end, I don't think it matters who you choose as long as you stick with one person, it should be fine.
