Pictures in Anki Sentences - Mesqueeb - 2009-04-19

Heya everyone!

My study method is: Read Manga, and add sentences from it into Anki.
By time I might read other things, but now I only want to read manga.

My question is: For the people who add images and pictures to their Anki-sentences, what is their criteria for adding a picture? I have been taking pictures of my manga and leave out the text box, since that is the sentence. And then add those pictures to Anki. But sentences you get correct a lot disappear fast, so it seems so much bother to have gone through to add the pictures.

When do you guys add a picture and when do you not add a picture? Or always? And what do you add? A googled picture? A photo of the manga?

Thanks!

Yeah, I usually add a picture of the panel the sentence is from. I used to go into paint and rub out the furigana but I got lazy and I don't bother now =(

It's a lot easier if you're reading scans on a computer mind...

A good application for taking screenshots on windows is http://www.jingproject.com/
Basically you can select a portion of the screen and either save it or copy directly to your clip board, which you can paste into anki. Real easy and quick.

I usually add pictures for manga sentences, and also pictures for sentences from games (emulator games, eg FF7, etc).
