I'm studying informatics and I'm seriously considering looking for work in Japan when I'm done. As such, it would be good for me to learn a lot of computer lingo. Does anyone know of any good site for such articles, similar to slashdot?

I know some people here use slashdot.jp. Personally, I can't since I'm extremely picky with my input. Slashdot.jp is just directly translated English articles, it isn't a very good representation so I can't mine from it. (Just read the articles there, most of them are tons easier than "proper" Japanese articles. Check the original English ones and you'll see they are translated straight off.)

The always great Pink Tentacle seems to obtain most of its scientific/technological news from Japanese sites, you could try just browsing through that site to see if there's some common 'via' links.

To be honest, I don't know how 'real' this site is in Japanese since it also provides an English translation, but I think the JP is the original text.

It's not really 'tech news' but more like 'announcements of new tech products'.

And this one is not 'tech' but just 'new stuff in Akihabara', but seems to always be interesting.

As far as I can tell, the Slashdot agenda is "get page views, make ad revenue". Was there something I missed?

Does it have to be online? I've always found the printed 日経ビジネス to be excellent for this purpose.
