I mean, just knowing the word "店員" is enough to say the sentence serves a purpose. "Post your sentence" game - nac_est - 2009-02-21 I'm interested in the way some of you actually underline some words in the sentence. What is that for? Do you write only those parts down? *************************************+ This is an old one, taken from a 中学校 history book. You can see that I used to put a lot of definitions. Then I changed to a lighter+faster format, with few or zero definitions, like the one in my first post. Q) 縄文時代といえば、毛皮を着て、動物を追いかけて移住する姿を想像してしまいます A)じょうもん じだい と いえば、 けがわ を きて、 どうぶつ を おいかけて いじゅう する すがた を そうぞう して しまいます 毛皮(けがわ):毛のついたままの動物の皮 皮(かわ):「皮」 移住(いじゅう):外国へ移り住むこと 移る(うつる):場所がかわる I also just realised that the definition for 移住 is not really appropriate to the sentence, since we're talking about prehistory
"Post your sentence" game - nest0r - 2009-02-21 I haven't started doing so yet, but I was speculating in another thread about colour-coding recognition sentences--for vocabulary, this would be highlighting certain words (perhaps with certain themes, such as green for financial or plant-related items... or green for green ;p), simply to draw my gaze towards them. Same with particles and grammar points and whatnot. I usually write down new words or words I'm iffy on, to add analytical and gestural support to the memory process. "Post your sentence" game - shakkun - 2009-02-21 I color-highlight important words in definitions red so I don't have to read the whole thing to quickly check my understanding, but that's it. It would be a good idea for long sentences, to focus the mind on that word, but a better solution is just short sentences. 背中が○○○する 虫などが蠢くさま。またそのような感じを受けるさま。 --- 背中がもぞもぞする That's not really a sentence card though.
