grammer help? - ava_182 - 2006-10-23 just wondering how the word [kana]takusan[/kana] is meant to be used, for example can you use it to directly modify a word in the same way you use [kana]keiyoushi[/kana] e.g [kana] oishiitabemono[/kana] thus could you use [kana]takusan[/kana] like e.g [kana]takusantabemonogaarimasu[/kana] or does it have it have to be used like [kana] ...tabemonogatakusan arimasu[/kana] if any one could help it would be really be appreciated, thanks. grammer help? - Raichu - 2006-10-25 Like most numbers/quantity words you can use it adjectivally (with [kana]no[/kana]) or adverbially. As an adjective: たくさんの絵画がその店にかかっている。 'Many paintings hang in the shop.' ケンは君よりたくさんの本を持っている。 'Ken has more books than you.' As an adverb: 窓から高い山がたくさん見えるでしょう。 'You'll see a lot of high mountain through the window.' 彼女はたくさんお金を持っている。 'She has a lot of money.'
