- I have an exam that's more urgent at the moment, but after that I plan on finishing RTK1
- Do more listening
- Output in Japanese more

People just like to do weird things like that. In fact, my Japanese friend writes,"good nite" because it's "cute".

1) finish RTK by the end of January
2) reach 5000 sentences by the end of the year (2000 per semester and 1000 over the summer)

- more vocabulary, especially more specific vocabulary, outside of the usual everyday talk / TV drama range

To finish RTK 2.
I am 2/3rds done with RTK 1. Hopefully I could finish everything by June. Then I could spend the rest of the year reading.
Maybe next year, I will take on RTK 3. I want to get a good running first with this Kanji, like I have with Hiragana and Katakana.

You can take any grammatically incorrect phrase, google it, and find hundreds of thousands of people who are wrong. Some rarely, others on a daily basis. I wouldn't trust random hits on Google (or the internet, for that matter) as a grammatical reference for any language if the way the internets butcher English is any indication of overall referential quality.

Well, things do change. This year, in Portuguese, we are having a reformation. A lot of the accents marks are being dropped, some accents are being extinguished. People stopped to use them and now they are out of fashion. The same will probably happen with a few verb tenses.

Old people still consider it wrong to say 食べれます instead of 食べられます. Same with dropping the い in -ている. Young people even use 全然 with non-negative phrases like 全然平気だよ. trust me, what you're saying isn't even a small target. It's not even a target at all practically, lol! (no offense) Believe me, you'll be able to finish the book well within this year. You could easily do 10 per day. Even so just set a goal for yourself every week or something. Like "50 kanji by next week friday" or something. TRUST ME. You'll own this thing. In. The. Face.

Yeah, definitely. Kanji always used to be rather hard for me. Then I found RTK. Soooo bloody easy. I love it so much. Suddenly 50 kanji a day didn't seem like such an obscenely difficult task compared to the five a day I was struggling with previously!

My goals are those of an absolute beginner living in France and with only 30 min to 1 hour to dedicate to my Japanese studies:
- Reach frame 1000 of RTK (I'm at frame 450)
- Finish Pimsleur's 90 lessons (I'm at lesson 20).
If I can go further, I'll do it for sure, but I'd be also happy to write a short story or more in my own language, plus reeducate my rusty body into a physical activity, plus avoid spoiling entirely my social life and sleeping hours.
