'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Bryan_Saxton - 2009-01-08 Hi everyone, I was just curious how many Reviewing the Kanji twitter users are on the forums. I know I've wanted to tweet about my RtK experiences several times, but I feel like my audience doesn't care about that. My twitter account: http://twitter.com/bry0000000. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - tibul - 2009-01-08 I use twitter or should i say i did use twitter as you can see i havn't updated it in a while, although i do like the idea of keeping notes on progress and see how other people are doing as not everybody can be bothered with a blog so i think I'll start using twitter again for mini progress notes. http://twitter.com/Tibul 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Bryan_Saxton - 2009-01-08 Tibul and I are following each other on twitter with the intent of tweeting about our progress on reviews . I think this is a great way to build community, and I encourage anyone who wants to join to sign up for a twitter account (free!) and follow us. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - igordesu - 2009-01-08 this sounds like a lot of fun. I've never even heard of twitter before now. I think I'll go join... 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Tobberoth - 2009-01-08 I've been a member for a while but because of my extreme lack of followers etc, I haven't ever used it. Added tibul and a twitter message, maybe i'll be more active if more people join in. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - igordesu - 2009-01-08 yea! I just joined. twitter.com/igordesu. edit: Tobberoth. You *must* totally do it. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Bryan_Saxton - 2009-01-08 I'm now following both of you. Hopefully this will be good motivation for us to continue reviewing. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - playadom - 2009-01-08 I really love the concept of twitter, but I never could bring myself to sign up, cause nobody would read it! edit: I went to go sign up, and then realized that I had actually signed up. Never used it though. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Tobberoth - 2009-01-08 Then go ahead I will follow everyone who posts in this topic, hopefully that will make me check it more often
'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - tibul - 2009-01-08 Looks like were getting a nice little community going on there, it was the same reason as you tobberoth that i did'nt really have any followers before but now there are a few of us i'll be updating all the time
'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - usis35 - 2009-01-08 http://twitter.com/usis35 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - playadom - 2009-01-08 All of you should have your twitter interface Japanese -- part of the immersion environment. 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - Bryan_Saxton - 2009-01-08 I forgot, twitter has an all japanese interface. Lots of japanese people use Twitter. And I've added everyone on this forum so far I think. I have my iGoogle page set up with the BeTwittered plugin so a few pop-up each time I open my browser. I've pulled plenty of decent stuff from there... The posts on there are crazy hard to read, though... internet slang mostly, I guess (which, obviously, makes complete sense). 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - to_nihon - 2009-01-09 Cool. Thanks to igordesu for inviting me. I'm at http://twitter.com/2nihon. Just followed all of you. A few tips to new Twitter folks: Keep in mind that one of the aspects of Twitter is community. If you want followers, you need to follow other people and interact with them. Use the @ symbol before the user's name to respond to their posts. For example, if igordesu has just said he's learned kanji #5,992, I can say: @igordesu Bravo! Good job! and it may spark a conversation to which others can join. I've made some very good friends through Twitter that way. You can also send private messages by writing 'd username' before your message. Just double-check to make sure everything is in place before hitting enter, or it will go to everyone! 'Reviewing the Kanji' Twitter users - tibul - 2009-01-09 to_nihon Wrote:Cool.
