Christmas Study - anon6969 - 2008-12-18 I'm sure most of us have a few days of over Christmas. How about using all that wasted time (not replacing the fun parts of Christmas, I mean the time that you sit around doing nothing) and studying Japanese the whole time. This year, when Christmas is over you can feel good about what you've done, instead of guilty about how quickly the time went and how you accomplished nothing. Think how many Kanji you could learn in 5, 7 or 14 full days!!! Good luck to one and all! Christmas Study - Tobberoth - 2008-12-18 But I'm already done with RtK1! You're very right though, I'm going to spend extra time mining sentences without a doubt. Christmas Study - Bryan_Saxton - 2008-12-18 Good idea! I've gotten through about 100 kanji in about three days study (I know, I'm a little slower than most). My goal is to get through this book ASAP so that I can get to total Japanese immersion when I get back to college. My roommate is Japanese, and I don't think he would have any problems helping me become immersed in the language. Christmas Study - tibul - 2008-12-18 I completly agree now that i've finished with RTK im going to be pushing myself as much as i can over the holiday to keep on mining sentences and immerse myself. @Bryan_Saxton Thats not exactly slow my average pace was 100 over 4 days i only sped up when i was nearing the end which i still suffer from over 130 reviews for the Kanji everyday and not to even mention the reviews I'm now getting from doing sentences but its all good fun
Christmas Study - iSoron - 2008-12-18 I have nine free weeks until my postgraduate course begins. More than enough time to finish RTK3. Christmas Study - samesong - 2008-12-18 Funny enough I get more studying done when I'm working rather than when I'm on vacation. But in any case, this is my study plan for the next three (paid) weeks I'm off: -Read Monster. Amazing series so far. -Finish reading この胸いっぱいの愛を, and then read it a second time through to mine. -Get through the rest of 完全マスター漢字 日本語能力試験1級レベル. -Rent random J-dramas at Tsutaya Christmas Study - kazelee - 2008-12-18 samesong Wrote:Funny enough I get more studying done when I'm working rather than when I'm on vacation. Christmas Study - Tobberoth - 2008-12-18 He lives in Nagano according to his profile, shipping from Amazon.co.jp is free if you're in Japan. Christmas Study - samesong - 2008-12-18 Yup. And yup. Not to mention there are no Tsutayas (to my knowledge) in the states. Christmas Study - wccrawford - 2008-12-18 "Do you pay for extra shipping when you have this .co.jp stuff sent to America?" Yeah, Amazon shipping is rather expensive. I find it's only cost effective to buy a lot at once. For instance, when I was ordering Manga, I had to order 10 or at Amazon to get the shipping per book down near where others were with only 1 book. Christmas Study - anon6969 - 2008-12-19 Have a very Kanji Christmas!
