Who came up with Mr. T.? - cloudstrife543 - 2008-12-14 I just got to Lesson 27 today (mid 900's) and I have found much good use out of the Mr. T. primitive for person. I was just curious, who came up with the Mr. T. idea? And thanks! Who came up with Mr. T.? - Nukemarine - 2008-12-14 Fool! No one comes up with Mr. T, the Kanji are all just aspects of Mr. T. Especially 痛、怖、恐、and 撃. Who came up with Mr. T.? - bodhisamaya - 2008-12-14 That user mysteriously died starting his car when the spark caused a massive explosion. Some of those stories weren't very kind to Mr. T. Who came up with Mr. T.? - cloudstrife543 - 2008-12-14 Well when I said who came up with Mr. T., I didn't mean Mr. T. himself, because he already exists. I meant who was the person who came up with the idea to use Mr. T. as the primitive for it. Who came up with Mr. T.? - Nukemarine - 2008-12-14 Considering the round about way Shrek came to be used for the finger primitive, I'm guessing it's a bit collaborative. Anyone willing to lay claim to using Mr. T first (despite the painful and gruesome death that will ensue)? I've been more partial to Batman for the person primitive myself. Who came up with Mr. T.? - furrykef - 2008-12-15 Maybe it's because the 'person' radical is sorta T-shaped. I use Arnold Schwarzenegger myself, 'cause before I started using this site, that's what another site with RTK stories used, and he was a brilliant choice. Arnold could be anything: an action hero, a politician, a bodybuilder, a doofus who doesn't know what he's talking about... and yet it's still specific and vivid enough that I virtually never forget the radical or put it where it doesn't belong. - Kef Who came up with Mr. T.? - theasianpleaser - 2008-12-15 Nukemarine Wrote:Fool! Who came up with Mr. T.? - cameron_en - 2008-12-15 I really liked the Mr. T primitive, it was easy to use for pretty much any kanji with the person primitive in it. I didn't know much about Mr. T either, but the image of an angry and often violent black man who pities the fool was very useful to me. Who came up with Mr. T.? - Wisher - 2008-12-16 I used Laura Croft from Tomb Raider for the primitive. There is just so many situations you could put her in. Wisher Who came up with Mr. T.? - bodhisamaya - 2008-12-16 I used the Dalai Lama because I wanted something positive to think about creating stories. In most of my shared stories I used the generic "person" thinking most other users would not be able to relate to him. I thought it might be good to use someone who's name started with the letter "I" though since it looks like a katakana イ Who came up with Mr. T.? - I_pity_the_fool - 2008-12-21 Thora Wrote:"Behold Mister T (of "A-Team" fame)!
