RTK3 Errata Compilation... the Final Thread - smujohnson - 2008-12-06
Hi.
I'm starting this thread hoping we can come to the final conclusion and discuss all the errata that has been found in RTK3.
Katsuo seems to have a huge list of errors... but I don't know if he's been adding to his list all the errors that others have found... But he seems to be taking a lot of time to catalog them.
I realize this has been discussed in other threads, but I want to make this the (final edition) to the thread and get some direction happening... so we can get these to Heisig before Hawaiian Press goes to print out another printing next year (I have confirmation on this).
So my questions are:
1) Has anyone here already e-mailed Mr. Heisig with errors? It would be good to keep track somehow so we don't pester him with things he's seen already.
2) Is there already an online list or something with kanji errors written by Katsuo / others? If not I can host a list and everyone can e-mail me their list, including Katsuo, and I can post it for everyone to see, etc. I'll keep track of who's submissions, the dates, etc, then we can make some real progress discussing this.
Heisig has already implemented 1 error and 1 change on RTK1 that I pointed out (if you notice his errata for it, it says it was updated last sept) so he definitely listens.
I want to buy RTK3 in a year, but I really don't feel like going over the book fixing so many damn errors. The amount of errors in RTK3 is getting out of hand. Thanks all

That's why I hate forums, I'm already becoming a list of timestamps and errors in judgment on what to 'print'.

Haven't you figured it out you guys? Katsuo's making a list and checking twice.. so be nice or you're getting coal in those cute baby stockings you got above the fireplace!
