RTK2 What to do once RTK 1 is finished? - Tobberoth - 2008-11-19 Depends on what your goal is and what you prefer to do. Do you want to simply learn the readings? Lots of techniques for that (kanji chain, movie method, learning through context, RtK2). Learn grammar and basic Japanese? Get some textbooks maybe. Learn more kanji? There's tons of things to do. What to do once RTK 1 is finished? - Nukemarine - 2008-11-19 I'm gonna say go the grammar/sentence route with Tae Kim's sentences. There's also sentences floating around from Understanding Basic Japanese Grammar and All About Particles which can be a good choice. After that, go for vocabulary via KO2001 or iKnow. During all this, you can be rounding out your Japanese in other areas (adding more kanji, getting the readings down, immersion, etc.). If you're a textbook sort of guy/gal, there's Genki and JFE. Heck, you can even take a *shudder* Japanese class. But yeah, definitely take that shower first.
