google searching - Raichu - 2008-10-09 Tobberoth mentioned においがする on the other thread so I thought I'd do a Google search to find some uses in context. I typed においがする in hiragana and have a look at some of these matches: 2ちゃんねる実況中継 なんか匂いがする 増税と不景気のにおいがする福田改造内閣|山崎元のマルチスコープ ... おんなじニオイがする。 (Google's emboldening) It matched kanji and katakana from my hiragana input. That is how amazing!!! google searching - Tobberoth - 2008-10-09 Wow, I didn't know Google could do that, that's really impressive actually O.O Personally, I use yahoo.jp when doing Japanese searches though, they are MUCH bigger in Japan than google. google searching - Raichu - 2008-10-09 Just tried yahoo.jp with においがする but it only found identical hits. Google has clearly one up on yahoo in this case, and it's quite a significant advantage. I also couldn't get yahoo.jp on my Firefox 3 search box. Does anyone know how to do that? google searching - alyks - 2008-10-09 Raichu Wrote:Just tried yahoo.jp with においがする but it only found identical hits. I need real google from my search box.
