where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 Anyone know where to get wallpaper with all RTK1 kanji on it? I've been searching on google but still no luck finding it (i don't even know if such thing exist in the first place). But I did find this: http://www.flodata.se/david/kanji_1to168.jpg too bad it doesn't show all the characters. I'm too lazy to make one. So, anyone? where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - alyks - 2008-08-03 That's a brilliant idea. (俊). I don't know where to find one. I'd prefer it without the keywords. Just stick a joyo list into photshop. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 At first I thought this might turn out to be cool, just like the Kanji T-shirt. And then somehow i figure out how to make it using Wakan, but the result made my desktop ugly as hell! Beside, it won't show kanji in RTK1 order, but rather in stroke count or frequency order. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - alyks - 2008-08-03 Why not: Find a list of kanji in the RTK order Give it a cool font Change the color from black on white to something cool like green on black Save the file high quality I'm going to bed right now, but if nobody has one by tomorrow I can maybe put one together. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - shakkun - 2008-08-03 palmaris_longus Wrote:Beside, it won't show kanji in RTK1 order, but rather in stroke count or frequency order.http://www.mediafire.com/?6dvxypmlnu5 where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 Hmm... shakkun, any idea how to make RTK wallpaper from that txt file you posted? where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - shakkun - 2008-08-03 Copy and paste into photoshop, and choose a nice font and color I guess. You'll need to enter a bunch of returns to get them to fit on the screen and not just show up as one long line though. EPSON have some great free fonts but I forget where I downloaded them from exactly, there was a link on this forum if you search. If you don't have photoshop, you can tell me your screen resolution and what colors you want and I can do a simple one for you. Edit: It won't have keywords. Edit 2: EPSON fonts http://www.i-love-epson.co.jp/download2/printer/driver/win/page/ttf30.htm Lots more fonts http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Japanese.html where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 @ shakkun Thanks, you're so generous pal. Too bad i don't have photoshop (T_T) (I did have once but for certain reason now it's gone). So, if you don't mind and have some time, it would be great if you could make one for us here. The screen resolution is 1024 x 768. If it's not too much too ask, actually I prefer one with a space on the left for two columns of desktop icon. I'm sure everyone here on the forum would be glad too if you can make a cool one. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - shakkun - 2008-08-03 At that resolution I think it's impossible to have 2000+ characters displayed on the screen. I just made a quick one, and at a 1024 x 768 size the characters are just barely readable on my 1280x1024 res screen. When I lowered my resolution temporarily it became completely unreadable. I think if you want this you'll either need to settle for fewer characters or get a new monitor. Someone else might have a better solution though. Here's the file, anyway. Formatting is just left plain because I'm pretty sure it's unusable. Wall: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/3589/rtkwallih9.png PSD: http://www.mediafire.com/?ta8ojico9o6 Edit: Surprisingly the more stylised EPSON kyoukasho font is easier to read than Mincho. http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/3334/rtkwall3un0.png where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 why thank you man! it's actually readable and fits perfectly (however,i have to set the taskbar to autohide to show the last line, but it's okay). To know that I still can only recognize the upper one forth of the screen (i'm on 480+ through RTK1) sure is encouraging. It's the pride of Kanji learner, don't ye think? where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - shakkun - 2008-08-03 palmaris_longus Wrote:why thank you man! it's actually readable and fits perfectly (however,i have to set the taskbar to autohide to show the last line, but it's okay).Oops, sorry. Which one are you using? I'll fix it. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - palmaris_longus - 2008-08-03 i use the one with epson font where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - shakkun - 2008-08-03 http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/1664/rtkwall4ji8.png If you ever get photoshop back, I'd suggest setting it as a multiply layer and putting something more interesting underneath. I'm not graphics skilled though so I won't even try. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - phauna - 2008-08-03 You just need to break them into a few pages, and use a wallpaper changer. Maybe ten sets of 200 characters a page. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - Evangelo - 2008-08-04 phauna Wrote:You just need to break them into a few pages, and use a wallpaper changer. Maybe ten sets of 200 characters a page. This wallpaper thing is great idea, and splitting them up is an even better idea! where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - MoogleFan - 2008-08-20 I think that it would be most effective for study (particularly if one hadn't yet completed RTK1) to have the wallpapers show a smaller group of kanji; in the case of the ones I designed, 130 at a time. I have also moved the groups, which were taken from the PDF version of Remembering of Kanji, to the side, so you can have your icons on the left an not covering any of the kanji. If people like these, I can make a bunch of them until the kanji are exhausted, and upload them as a ZIP file. I made three so far:http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/6471/kanjiwall1pf0.jpg http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/9863/kanjiwall2pg8.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/5113/kanjiwall3ce4.jpg If you have Photoshop, you can use Gradient Maps to change the color schemes of the wallpapers with ease, and there's plenty of room for pictures on the side. I have taken a screenshot of my desktop to show how it can be both functional and attractive (putting favorite people, symbols, quotaions, etc...very motivational!): http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/4601/wallscreenjs3.jpg where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - Jon_B - 2008-08-20 Wow MoogleFan those are awesome, and especially since I am just beginning RTK1. Thanks alot! where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - dicedice - 2008-08-20 These would be a big help in motivation, for me anyways. Nice job Mooglefan! I hope you keep going, the one you took time to decorate looks amazing. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - MoogleFan - 2008-08-20 Thanks guys! I finished making the rest for RTK1 today (to 2042!); the Sendspace link is a zip containing all of the wallpaper images (you can unpack using WinRAR, or something smiilar), and the ImageShack links are each of the rest of the wallpaper images individually. I hope you guys enjoy, and spruce them up a bit with your own images! ![]() Kanji Wallpapers (zip): http://www.sendspace.com/file/tbij8w Individual JPEG links: http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/5055/kanjiwall4jp3.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/9351/kanjiwall5rv0.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/5461/kanjiwall6ev2.jpg http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4775/kanjiwall7gi4.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/503/kanjiwall8ya7.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/600/kanjiwall9re2.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/37/kanjiwall10zb9.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9509/kanjiwall11dq7.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7812/kanjiwall12uh9.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/1466/kanjiwall13wo8.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/4117/kanjiwall14vt3.jpg http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4148/kanjiwall15fw7.jpg where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - cameron_en - 2008-10-13 I made a wallpaper for my large monitor (1680x1050 resolution), it has 3007 kanji, from "one" to "mandate" in RTK order. I dislike anything too bright, so this is a kind of dark background. http://users.on.net/~drneale/kanji.png It's based on B.J. Morgan's pretty wallpaper "XMas Spectacle": http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/details.php?id=223 This is my first post here I think. I just wanna say I love this website, it's awesome. Edit: see post below for working link where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - alyks - 2008-10-13 That is seriously cool, Cameron. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - phauna - 2008-10-13 Cameron's is the best one yet. where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - cameron_en - 2008-10-14 Thanks for the kudos. I managed to fit 3007 kanji onto a 1280x800 image, it's a bit of a squeeze but I think the visibility level is okay. The 1680x1050 is much easier to read of course. I used Flash to make them and the font used is called "HG丸ゴシックM-PRO". Again this is based on B.J. Morgan's image with a blur and green tinge. 1024x768 2042漢字: http://www.users.on.net/~drneale/kanjigreen2042-1024.png 1280x800 2042漢字: http://www.users.on.net/~drneale/kanjigreen2042-1280.png 3007漢字: http://www.users.on.net/~drneale/kanjigreen3007-1280.png 1680x1050 3007漢字: http://www.users.on.net/~drneale/kanjigreen3007-1680.png where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - saizen - 2008-10-14 i cant believe how off the hook this is ...thanks a ton man!!!! where to get RTK1 Wallpaper - Jarvik7 - 2008-10-14 One problem, you don't count kanji with 個, you count them with 字 or 文字. |
