Fairly easy web manga - Helena4 - 2016-04-29 I want to take part in JALUP's May manga reading challenge: 10 volumes in a month! That means I'd have to do about 80 pages a day. I don't have enough Japanese manga volumes or money so I thought about doing this manga since it has over 10 volumes and is free online. But I tested it today, and although I understood what was going on despite missing some words, looking up all these medical words was quite annoying and I was never sure which ones to put in Anki... since I really don't feel like I need this medical knowledge (but of course if I don't learn any of the words, I'd keep having to look them up while reading). It took about an hour to read and process all these sorts of words from just 10 pages, so I don't think this manga is realistic fo me. So I was wondering if anyone has happened to find an easier web manga of a similar length? RE: Fairly easy web manga - RawrPk - 2016-04-29 That manga is awesome! I'm definitely not ready for that but the topic is relevant to me since I'm majoring in a health care related field. Love Hina is free here. 14 volumes total. RE: Fairly easy web manga - rich_f - 2016-04-29 Comico has a bunch of Japanese webcomics. (They're also offering web novels, too now.) http://www.comico.jp/ Manga is over here: http://www.comico.jp/official/ ももくり is one of my favorites. Funny stuff (stalker girl gets her boy romantic comedy!): http://www.comico.jp/articleList.nhn?titleNo=311 こいいぬ is kind of annoying in parts, but generally good (childhood friends with complex past meet again at uni): http://www.comico.jp/articleList.nhn?titleNo=6828 RE: Fairly easy web manga - RawrPk - 2016-04-29 Great resource rich_f! Since these are web published manga and separated into chapter format, I wonder how many chapters would it take to equate 1 volume? RE: Fairly easy web manga - uchuu - 2016-04-29 Try mangaz.com! Lots and lots of free out of print manga. RE: Fairly easy web manga - rich_f - 2016-04-29 (2016-04-29, 12:29 pm)RawrPk Wrote: Great resource rich_f! Since these are web published manga and separated into chapter format, I wonder how many chapters would it take to equate 1 volume? Depends on the series, but I'd say 12 or so chapters per volume? If 1 screen is roughly 1 page, then 12 pages per week... maybe 14 or 15 chapters? Tough to say! At any rate, enjoy the pretty pictures and the funny stories. Also, Pixiv has a lot of comics on it, too, but since it's Pixiv, they're impossible to find. I just kind of stumble across them, because I don't want to spend Yet Another $5/Month for Something. (If you pay for Pixiv, you get non-useless search.) RE: Fairly easy web manga - Helena4 - 2016-05-01 Thanks for the recs guys. I like mangaz. I think I'll go for this one on here. I've read a bit of Naruto before so I think I should be able to read something like this with enough speed: 原宿こぶし組 http://www.mangaz.com/book/detail/121531 |
