RTK Volume 1 and 2 available on Apple iBooks store - fuaburisu - 2016-03-25

Remembering the Kanji 1 (€ 28,99) and RtK 2 (€ 22,99) are available as ebook in the Apple iBooks store since last month. Thanks to Jeroen for the information!

I've just posted this on Kanji Koohii. Thought I would create a corresponding thread for discussion, in case there are some differences with the book, the kanji variants displayed in this edition, etc.

Great to hear! Looks like they're also available in the Google Play Store:

I purchased RtK 2 iBooks edition in Feb 2016. Here are some errors and inconsistencies I've noted so far:
  • frame R-1626 marked as R-11626
  • frame R-351 安心 called "piece of heart" (compare with frame R-52 安心 "peace of mind")
  • frame R-387 is missing its katakana reading リ (shows "v" in its place)
  • frame R-1021 広告 called "advertising" while frame R-1119 広告 called "advertisement"
  • frame R-1065 is missing its hiragana reading (kanji 九時 written an extra time instead)

The Google Play books are PDFs of the old editions. The Apple iBooks are epub of the new editions.

I would not recommend purchasing the iBooks store edition. The table layout of the print editions is poorly approximated and it makes the contents harder to read. Don't buy the Kindle store edition either; it is similarly formatted, but has issues with incorrect glyphs being displayed (you can find complaints about that on Amazon).
