Japanese non-fiction books recommendations - Rael89 - 2016-01-03

I couldn't find a relevant topic for this that wasn't at least a year old so I thought I'd start one up. If I messed up give me a good ビンタ and direct me to the proper thread. Anyway....

Does anyone have any recs for Japanese books on the order of Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers or Robert Greene's Mastery? I was about to buy the latter but I decided I should make my next book Japanese so I come to you seeking guidance oh great forum. I'm also really into music so if you have anything good books about music or musicians お願いします!

Other recommendation inquiries and/or unsolicited book suggestionsも大歓迎!

Lifehacker.jp book reviews are pretty good for finding interesting non-fiction books.

Nice, thanks. I may use this as I get back into reading. Only read a handful of books in 2015 and looking to get back on track to reading more regularly. For me reading contributed to my greatest leap in comprehension, and I could still benefit from it more. Perhaps switch it up from fiction novels to something with different writing.

At the moment I'm currently reading 翳りゆく夏 (it kept trying to delete my words when typing, is that a forum bug?). About 1/3 through and enjoying it thus far. It also has a WOWOW drama which are usually pretty good. Would recommend it.

Why is that guy above posting music videos...?

Haha, my text appears twice when I convert. Our bugs would cancel each other out!

Use Ctrl+Shift+S or the rightmost button above the editor to switch to plaintext mode. There's also an option to make that the default in http://forum.koohii.com/usercp.php?action=options

I set it to plaintext in options like Vempele suggested and it's been fine since Smile

The main guy said "I'm also really into music so if you have anything good about music or musicians お願いします!"

Also they're not "music videos", they're music uploaded to youtube with an album cover background. Sorry, didn't know it would take up half the page when I posted links.

Thanks for the replies. I actually left out a word lol I meant "...good books about music..."

I like Round Table though so its all good. So many middle school anime memories come back when I listen to them.

Yeah, the articles are fairly easy to read once you're past a certain level, so I used them for reading practice a lot when I was preparing for JLPT N2.
