My own kana charts - Kruzer132 - 2015-12-05

I want to make my own hiragana and katakana charts. I have made 11 by 5 rows and am now ready to start the calligraphy. But I have a little problem. I use all the kana, so also the yi, ye, wi, wu and we. When I've written them all down. I have four spaces left. But then I want to fill those too. I want to write something like (片/平)仮名, but then I have one space left. And I don't want to write hiragana or katakana in hiragana and katakana because that will blend with the rest of the chart. Is it possible to write something like (片/平)仮名字? If not, do you have any other suggestions?

How about 五十音図?

RE: My own kana charts - Kruzer132 - 2015-12-05

Difficult, because it is 51. And I want to show the difference between the hiragana and the katakana charts.

It's still called that, even though that's not the exact number. Also there's no yi, ye or wu. You could have them mixed: あア えエ... etc.

RE: My own kana charts - Kruzer132 - 2015-12-05

That statement is wrong, I've searched for them a long time and have found all the kana that should exist. It was an old version of them, and I gave them a modern change. Now they look like modern kana. Here is a preview: ... wait, how do I send photo's here?

Edit: If I can't show it, I'll describe it!
Hiragana:
-The yi has the left side of は and the right side of the yi is a ろ.
-The ye is a yu without the last stroke. So it looks like a fish, almost.
-The wu is like the ほ with instead of an ending curl, a hook.
Katakana:
-The yi is like a イ on top of a 一.
-The ye is a yi turned 180 degrees and without the 一.
-The wu is the hiragana wu without te left part.

(I changed the hiragana yi and ye a little to make them newer... I tried to follow a path of evolution and came with these versions...)

Upload the image somewhere, then

From Japanese Wikipedia:

https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/や行い
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/や行え
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/わ行う

Found these linked in the English Wikipedia article on the kana.

しかしや行い、や行え、わ行うが存在しないためそれを当てはめるため無理やり掲載された。

Doesn't that say something?

RE: My own kana charts - Kruzer132 - 2015-12-05

Not really to me, my Japanese isn't that good yet. But that is one of the links I also found!

"However, because Ya-line 'i', Ya-line 'e', and Wa-line 'u' do not exist these were published as an senseless adaptation."

.....

RE: My own kana charts - James736 - 2015-12-13

They're not kana that "should" be there. People can read the obsolete kana ゐ/ヰ and ゑ/ヱ and they're still used very occasionally today in company names, e.g. ヱビス, but they aren't modern kana. The others you mention are just cursive forms of kanji or parts of kanji; they're not kana, they're basically just place holders, and they're not used in modern Japanese.

I'm wondering what the point is too. Just artistic?
