What are the recommended deck settings for recognition Core? - Sztermel - 2015-11-21

Hey guys.

I've started doing Core6k deck a while ago, 2 months ago I think.
I'm doing recognition that is on the front sentence which is nicely colored to make it harder to read with the dark easily visible word beneath it. Reverse is the usual stuff + images and audio.

At the beginning I've started with the lowest starting ease 130% as I've seen it recommended by certain users but that was completely to low for me, so I've been increasing it little by little till now when I'm 200% and I think it still may be too low for me.
I've a pretty good recall for most short term cards, I usually fail harder one's with characters I know the reading from that word or kana words and in stats I get usually 94-97 % correct answers. That is about 97% correct out of 140 reviews I get usually. That amount of reviews seems a little bit of a chore for me as I don't have enough time to do it between the classes and I usually end with 140+ reviews at 4 p.m. when it's even quiet late to add new cards. Such big number of reviews may be caused by wrong anki set-up I think.

So now my question can I increase it, or fix it with other setting as I hear that recommended recall rate should be about 8x to lower of 9x's.
Thanks in advance.

The starting ease would only effect new cards you hit "easy" on, right?

If you're going through a spew of cards with things you already know then just temporarily make the "easy" button go straight to 20-30 days or higher if you really know it.

If you get 97% right it sounds like you already knew the cards beforehand or learn really fast, in which case you might as well increase the intervals on everything to learn faster.

Do increasing the starting ease wasn't doing the thing I thought it's was going to do? I thought that it increases the intervals of the cards in general, so I'll see them less often as I used to and I won't be wasting much time...
I read about it on anki website and few other articles and still didn't take what it does
After learning phase which consist of few steps I go into 3 days interval when card is 普通 or 4 days 簡単 which is anki default .

Then which of the options in deck should I change? Is that the interval one in the reviews section that I have at 100%?

Starting ease is just as it sounds, it's the ease each card starts with.  Once the card is in play, the ease is adjusted by the algorithm.  So if you already have cards in play, the only way to increase the ease is to keep hitting easy.  That will increase the cards ease and bump it's interval up higher than if you hit pass.

Interval multiplier might do what you are hoping, but in my experience it does weird things, so make adjustments slowly.

My suggestion would be to just stick with 200% and see how your accuracy is in a week or two.  By that time, all of the cards you added recently will be at higher intervals and less a part of your daily reviews.  It really takes a few weeks for the effect of any settings change to fully show it's effect on your accuracy.
