What does he mean by "Fit"? many of the posted stories have fit used in different situations. What is this supposed to mean?

when you don't understand the word he chose, sometimes it's best to actually just look up the kanji in the dictionary and go from there. check the meanings on these words and go from there.
合う：あう
似合う：にあう
適合する：てきごうする
