Music in Mandarin - Eastwood - 2012-01-29 Hey guys, I searched through the pinned resources but didn't see much in the way of music. Music is one of the main ways that I got interested in Japanese. I'm looking to do the same for Mandarin, but I'm having trouble finding any thing that isn't slow, R&B and/or a ballad. And that's fine, but I'd like a little variety. I do like a lot of J-Rock and J-Pop. I'm guessing that this lack of variety might have to do with the restrictions on internet in China? Does anyone know of any good bands, be them Taiwanese or mainland or where to find them other than sites like baidu or tudou? Music in Mandarin - Eastwood - 2012-01-29 Never mind. Just saw the "Some links to good media" thread. http://forum.koohii.com/viewtopic.php?id=4480 Music in Mandarin - Eastwood - 2012-01-30 Here's a useful update in case any one has run to the same problem I have. There is a lot of good music available, but it's in streaming format and that doesn't help you listen to it away from a computer (didn't have this problem for Japanese because I was living in Japan on JET). So, what to do? Get Audacity! Audacity can record streaming audio. Audacity is a free program. Check it out. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ - Download here. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=recording&i=streaming - Learn how to record the streaming audio here. |
