Preferably by adding <font color red>pinyin<font> or something like that. I know the Pinyin tool plugin for Anki does that, but it's too slow for my computer. I was aiming to use the color aspect for another reason. I am using a program that adds pinyin to hanzi words in subtitles for a few days now. It helped me tremendously, just by seperating the words. I'm not at the computer now, so I don't remember the name of the program. But since all words hanzi and pinyin are white, it is confusing to read the subtitles. I figured a tone marking program would make it easier to distinguish them, by either marking either the hanzi or pinyin. As I said, anki does the job, but for a subtitle it takes hours for my pc. Ps purple is definetly better than black, for subtitles. But for the rest I guess I'll keep the standard colors. I used this website which in turn gave me pinyin in brackets [ and ], that I then simply replaced with the font color codes. It's much easier to read now for me.
