RTH Traditional List - jokoto - 2009-06-24
I am looking for a list of RTH Traditional Number, Hanzi, keyword. These are the 105 hanzis extracted from the errata index

Buying the book is obviously the way to go here.
Besides that, I'm sure somebody has a spreadsheet somewhere by now. It would be nice to have, because entering the items individually is a pain.

I learned the RTK LITE subset of 1.100 kanjis and now I am looking forward to learn the kanjis that are in the RTH Traditional set. I'd be great if someone could point me to a spreadsheet.

I have a spreadsheet; I'm currently ANKI-fying it.
But I've customized it a bit to my personal tastes, so I doubt if would be of much value to others. I hate when Heisig uses a keyword like "HAMLET" (What? does he mean the Shakespeare character or a little village?) or "STATE" (A geographic region or the verb form?), so I tend to toss in a few infinitive markers or indefinite articles, etc. I also drop the Guoyu pronunciations in favor of Putonghua (though I realize most people don't care about sound at this point).

For state, there's an (N.) marking it as a noun. For hamlet, if it were a name it would be capitalized (see Yao). He was pretty good about marking it whenever it's ambiguous in RTH. I don't have RSH but I assume it's the same way.

I might have chosen two bad examples, since I was doing it off the top of my head, but I promise you that there was a massive amount of keyword ambiguity that was not resolved with parentheticals. Some of them become apparent when you read the entry -- but I don't want to have to keep jumping back to the book from ANKI when I'm writing and refining my stories. Others (MANY others) remain wholly ambiguous with no clues whatsoever, beyond what you might glean from the literal translation.
And I fully realize that Chinese doesn't always fit into nice English Parts-of-Speech categories, but I'm of the opinion that (for our purposes) it's a good idea to choose the most common category whenever possible so that your primitives retain a certain degree of consistency between stories. And Heisig must agree, or he wouldn't have bothered assigning PofS to any of them.
