Difference ノ and 丿 - NumesSanguis - 2015-07-28

What is the difference between ノ(?) and 丿(drop)?

http://classic.jisho.org/kanji/details/万 says that 万 exist out of ノ(?),
however I can't find in the radical list:

Can anyone enlighten me?

ノ is just the katakana "no". I'm assuming that the "parts" section was supposed to display 丿 instead (in fact, the page for 丿 also shows the katakana ノ as a part). In Japanese the 丿 is actually referred to as "the [katakana] 'no' radical" (ノのかんむり), so I guess ノ gets used in place of 丿 for the sake of simplicity.
