Reviewing kanji vs. reading - john555 - 2015-07-25 I find that when I'm focussing on reading Japanese I don't bother reviewing the kanji (RTK1, RTK2) at all, and conversely, when I decide to review the kanji, I end up doing that to the exclusion of all else (including reading). It's like I can't do both at the same time. It would be good to do both at the same time but it's hard to strike a balance. Do others find the same thing? Recognizing complete words while reading takes a fraction of a second, whereas reproducing a character from a keyword takes a few seconds. Two different things. If you weren't enjoying, that's when you'd be switching back and forth. I'd just go with it. |
