RTK3 Common Vocabulary - arcanewaif - 2015-06-21 Hello! Has anyone managed to make a list of common vocab (maybe one is enough?) for each of the RTK3 kanji? Or, where there isn't a very common word, maybe a common name? Thanks! RTK3 Common Vocabulary - tikka - 2015-06-22 I haven't seen RTK3 but I think the point of that book is to list rarely used characters. Most people will never need them all. Many argue that even RTK1 has many unnecessary characters. So "common word" may not be the thing that corresponds to the contents of the book. By the way, isn't the book supposed to cover the readings also? If characters are listed on the book based on usefulness, then the reason for that usefulness is a semi-common or at least non-obsolete word in which the character is used and thus the list you are looking for is in the book itself. Right? RTK3 Common Vocabulary - tetsueda - 2015-06-22 There are vocab listed for each character in RTK. He tends to include some rarer Buddhist related vocab, though. Also there's some kanji that I wouldn't really call all that rare that are not included in RTK3, such as 淹れる and 罠.
