Anime's Movie - pastorinibr - 2015-06-09 Guys, What was the best anime move you ever seen? For me was Akira and Spirited Away. It's not able to say movies about Naruto, One Piece, although this are a great anime the films sucks. Just one more thing, i guess i am the only guy in Brazil here, so if i did so mistake forgive me! Anime's Movie - vix86 - 2015-06-09 Story: Ghost in the Shell Visually: Anything by Makoto Shinkai Anime's Movie - Bokusenou - 2015-06-09 Most works by Studio Ghibli made before 2006, Tokyo Godfathers, Ookami Kodomo Ame to Yuki (English name: Wolf Children), Eve no Jikan(Time of Eve), & Ghost in the Shell. If you've seen the series which came before them, I'd add the first Kino no Tabi movie, and the Suzumiya Haruhi movie. Anime's Movie - wareya - 2015-06-09 Patema Inverted, the Haruhi movie, and the Kino no Tabi prequel. Though, the last two need you to watch the series to appreciate them, and they also spoil their series. Kara no Kyoukai is also way up there. Anime's Movie - jimeux - 2015-06-10 Paprika is worth checking out. Anime's Movie - vonPeterhof - 2015-06-10 jimeux Wrote:Paprika is worth checking out.As well as everything else by Satoshi Kon (Bokusenou mentioned Tokyo Godfathers). Other then that I second most of the recommendations given here (haven't seen Kino no Tabi or Kara no Kyoukai, so can't comment on those), except I'd extend the Ghibli recommendation post-2006 as well (in other words, everything they've done except for 2006's Tales from Earthsea). The Wind Rises and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya deserve a special mention among their later works. Out of the stuff that wasn't mentioned I recommend Redline, Expelled from Paradise (the CGI will probably be off-putting to many people, but the setting, the story and the characters are pretty solid) and the Madoka Magica movies. The third recommendation comes with a few caveats: - I haven't seen the first two Madoka movies, since they're a recap of the Madoka Magica TV anime; - From what I've heard, the animation is better in the movies, but the character development is detailed better in the TV series. Either way, you're apparently not losing much by choosing one over the other; - If you're completely satisfied with how the TV anime/second movie ends the story, then there's a chance that you'll hate the third movie's ending. Anime's Movie - umetani666 - 2015-06-10 My Neighbor Totoro and Wicked City Anime's Movie - Roketzu - 2015-06-10 Sword of the Stranger immediately comes to mind, as does Redline, and while not quite an anime movie per se, the OVAs for Rurouni Kenshin were some of the best pieces of animated fiction I've ever watched. Oh and how could I forget, 5 Centimetres Per Second was just a lovely little story.
