(edit: moved to similar recent topic)

I can totally add RTK Lite sequence to Kanji Koohii! 's SRS if there is some interest for it. Needs some kind of "standard RTK lite" list though as this would be a selectable sequence for all users.

Considering the Nayr deck contains the 6000 most common words does it make sense to take it as a reference?
from what I've seen it contains almost all elementary school kanji (grade 1 to 6, or kanken 10 to 5) excepts a bunch of them like shakuhachi, country, empress and other... but, or at last for what I've seen, they are all very easy to remember and make a story that they can be put in the lite list without requiring any particular effort... also some of them serve as components for other kanji... in other word if we need to build a definitive rtk list it does make sense to take (almost) all the elementary kanji, which sum up to 1000 circa... and maybe look first at what elementary school kanji to left out of the lite list (for example some tree and fruit kanji)...
Then move on the remaining kanji which are in the Nayr deck and select only the most fundamental ones (not an easy work because in the end they are all common but there are definitely some that could be left out from the lite list)
This may be done keeping in mind what is the aim of a lite list... (if I understand right there is already something similar for hanzi)

Sorry for the lenght but I think such a list would be very useful for new students to encourage them to start with japanese and not to burn out... so one could cover the bare minimum of kanji to permit to him to move to "real" japanese study and then eventually study ther remaining rtk ehen he feel it's the right moment for him...
Also if we build such a list it will be a good addition to koohii... "2000 kanji? No way! Wait, what?? Koohii has a lite list?? Wonderful!" Big Grin
