Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - vrada501 - 2015-01-13 I'm seeking Japanese speech exposure through Animes. I would like to watch Animes with conversations that are understandable to beginners which I imagine are just ones for the very young audience. Conversations that are more slower pace, say simple sentences, and are clear on what letters they're saying. One I've understand the most one of the Japanese Transformers cartoons from the 80's. I'd be interested in Mecha robot shows like I mentioned but I'd like any recommendations on any old animes fitting this description. Next, I want to know what I could watch these animes on. I have a paid account on Crunchyroll but could only find modern mature Animes that are a little tough for me to understand. Other Japanese shows and cartoons I've been looking to stream are Fist of North star Dragon Ball Z Kamen Ryder Zenki Astro boy (any series, mainly 2003) Shin Chan Mashin Hero Wataru Jap version of Ninja Turtles Jap version of anything Marvel or DC Please tell me any sites you know where I can stream episodes of these shows. Would be great if there were all episodes of a show and they were organized well. If any of these shows are already on Crunchyroll notify me, I may not new since I'm new. I would prefer them not to have English subtitles, but Japanese subtitles would be a plus. It doesn't have to have everything that I'm asking for, just anything that is the closest to what I'm looking for. Thank you for looking hope to get replies. Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - jimeux - 2015-01-13 There's quite a lot of stuff on YouTube, e.g. this Spanish sub of Hokuto no Ken. I think there are English subs of some stuff. Otherwise try a site like Kiss Anime, Anitube etc. Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - Flamerokz - 2015-01-13 I don't know if it's still there but Fist of the North Star actually used to be on Hulu (with English subs though, I think). You may want to check out the generic streaming sites to see if they have older anime. If you live in the US, http://animesols.com/ has a bunch of old anime you can watch (I don't know if subs can be toggled). They have a great collection of stuff ranging from the 60s-80s. Also, finally someone else who is into older anime whoo. 勇者王ガオガイガー was done in the 90s and is very clearly marketed for elementary/middle school children (like most of those robot shows - created to sell the merch), so you may want to check that out. It helps that it's pretty good, specifically after the halfway point (which to be fair is sort of a time commitment if you bother watching the first half, 25 episodes; recommended to just skip if you're not feeling it). If you do enjoy the first half, then I've heard basically anything else in the brave series (勇者シリーズ) is similarly generic so you should check out any of those other shows in that case. There is a plethora of mech shows from the 80s and 90s that are targeted towards the aforementioned audience, but whether or not you can find them easily is the more relevant problem. I highly doubt it if you try to find streaming sites to be honest, so torrents or pd is your best bet if there's anyway you can do that instead. Good luck finding the things on your list! I'd be surprised if you couldn't find Dragon Ball Z somehow. Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - vrada501 - 2015-01-14 These answers were very helpful. Thank you!! Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - mattty999 - 2015-01-22 Viki has some older anime for streaming. I guess you would need to check each series for the decade, but a few i just looked at now were from 80s and 90s . I also just had a quick check of 'The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion' and the episode also had some Japanese subtitles available, though it wasn't complete. Try youtube or googling "サザエさん 動画". That should get you plenty of raw streams. The speech is slow enough that, with practice, perhaps you can transcribe all that you hear, later looking up words/grammar you don't quite understand. Edit: If finding sites with subbed episodes that you can stream is "kicking" your "butt", try googling something like "sazae-san" Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - kerosan41 - 2015-01-22 I think kissanime.com has most, if not all of those shows. Its a good alternative to crunchy roll, especially for those of us that live outside of the US. If you're looking for an easy to understand anime, I recommend CardCaptor Sakura. It has lots of great everyday phrases. Where could I stream these 80's or 90's Animes? - Yaviiniia - 2015-03-10 Bilibili (a chinese streaming site) has tons of anime in really easily watchable formats (you can go straight to the next episode and browsing for shows is pretty easy). The only annoying thing about it is that it has nicovideo-style scrolling comments but they're easy to turn off. They have a lot of older anime on there; it's actually where I watch Dragonball. A few shows there have Japanese and Chinese subtitles, but I couldn't tell you which ones. Most have just Chinese. |
