NHK Easy vocab level? - vebaev - 2015-01-09 Hi, did someone know the level of vocabulary for NHK Easy? I'm on the 1100 card of core 2k and do not feel confident starting (as quite struggling with the sentences) - do you suggest finish 2k and than trying to read some of these texts? PS I feel great that there is source like HNK Easy for simple texts with furigana but quite concerned that these tests as they are news have lot of political/bussines/financial vocab? WHen I started, I actually used News Easy and 昔話 as a vocabulary source. I'd mine an article, study the vocab, and then read the article several time over a period of a few days. New Easy will have some political topics, but it also has a lot of human interest pieces. Today's headline is on the Paris shootings, but other pieces on the front page are about the extension of the Shinkansen, a proclamation by Hello Kitty (of COURSE there's a story about キティちゃん)　to tourists in Koufu, the number of people in Japan with adult onset dementia, and the like.
