I've developed a Chrome extension to help you learn basic Japanese vocabulary as you browse your Facebook feed. It's for complete beginners, you don't need to know any Japanese to use it. If interested, you can try it out at https://feedlearn.herokuapp.com/study1

Any feedback would be super helpful, thanks!

That's a great idea!
Is it a purely random word or an SRS system where words will repeat?
Can you choose to see the word in kanji/kana instead of Roman characters?

I wish I could get my anki reviews to show up while I was browsing facebook...It'd be nice to casually knock those out during the day...

Excellent, this is john555 friendly. No need for the obligatory post asking for romaji.

But really, neat tool.

I really like this but can I please have an option for full Kanji and Kana since I don't think as someone somewhere between beginner and intermediate who's beginning to tackle furigana-free text that I can really study romaji only even this casually without feeling like I'm going backwards.

If it's something disparaging, I'm sure even those of us who use it would agree with you. I re-created an account recently, mainly because it's easier to keep in touch with some of my Japanese friends that way.
