Has anyone used the McGraw-Hill book? - john555 - 2014-09-23 I've seen this at bookstores. Has anyone here used it? If so do you think it's any good? http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Demystified-Self-Teaching-Eriko-Sato/dp/0071477268/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1411468230&sr=1-2&keywords=japanese+demystified Has anyone used the McGraw-Hill book? - Helena4 - 2014-09-28 I haven't used it but I do have my own recommendation which I've seen backed by many members of this forum and others. If you're looking for something cheaper than the general Genki 1 and 2 reccomendation that covers the same ground and you don't mind a bit of a faster pace, I recommend Japanese for Everyone. I use it personally and I find it to be very useful and at just the sort of fast pace I enjoy. Use the pre-made anki deck available online to ensure everything's going in and staying in if you're finding it fast. http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Everyone-Functional-Approach-Communication/dp/4889962344/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411929448&sr=8-1&keywords=Japanese+for+everyone (does come with a nicer dust cover over the blood-red book) |
