Advice on mastering transitive/intransitive verbs? - ariariari - 2014-09-21 Hi everyone, I'm at a point where I'd like to really get fluent with a dozen or so transitive/intransitive verb pairs. I find this grammatical point to be something that's very easy to understand when someone is using it (either in writing or speaking), but I never really nailed it in terms of production (speaking, writing). So when it comes up I either slow down and try to remember which one to use, or just mumble, or move onto another topic I'd like to end this problem!Right now I have a bunch of these vocab words from my genki book in anki. But that's not helping me enough. So I'm thinking of adding sentences into Anki instead. For example: たけしさんが電気をつけました。 Takeshi turned the light on. 電気がつきました。 The light went on. I haven't entered sentences into anki before. So I wanted to run this by some people. Also, I am interested in hearing from other people how they got this grammar point down. Thanks! |
