beginner textbook with anki deck with audio? - partner55083777 - 2014-09-19 I am trying to setup a friend with Anki for studying Japanese. I've recommended going through a beginner textbook. I am looking for a beginner textbook that has an anki deck with audio for all the words/example sentences. After looking at the Anki shared decks, it looks like there is a good deck for Minna no Nihongo I. However, it appears a new version of Minna no Nihongo just came out (in 2012?), and I'm not sure if the anki deck corresponds to the new Minna no Nihongo, or the old one. Here is the 2001 Minna no Nihongo I and the English companion book: http://www.amazon.com/Minna-Nihongo-Book-Japanese-Edition/dp/4883191028/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411164264&sr=8-2&keywords=minna+no+nihongo+1 http://www.amazon.com/Minna-Nihongo-Honyaku-Translation-Grammatical/dp/4883191079/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1411164264&sr=8-3&keywords=minna+no+nihongo+1 Here is the 2012 versions: http://www.amazon.com/Minna-No-Nihongo-Beginner-Edition/dp/4883196038/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411164264&sr=8-1&keywords=minna+no+nihongo+1 http://www.amazon.com/Nihongo-Edition-Beginner-Translate-Grammar/dp/4883196046/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1411164264&sr=8-4&keywords=minna+no+nihongo+1 Also, what's the difference between the Japanese edition and the English translation? Do I need to get both of them, or just the English translation? tl;dr my questions: 1) Is there a beginner-level textbook with an already-made anki deck that has audio? 2) It looks like there is a Minna no Nihongo pre-made anki deck with audio, but does it correspond to the 2001 or 2012 version of Minna no Nihongo? 3) When buying Minna no Nihongo, should I get both the Japanese version and the English translation, or do I only need the English translation? beginner textbook with anki deck with audio? - Matthias - 2014-09-20 Nayr182 Wrote:Another deck I have made in the past is a Genki 1 and 2 deck with native audio. He used the 2nd edition of Genki 1 and 2. Can't judge the book nor the deck. But check it out, some people liked the deck. beginner textbook with anki deck with audio? - partner55083777 - 2014-09-20 Matthias Wrote:2nd edition of Genki 1 and 2.It looks like the Minna no Nihongo deck is better than the Genki 1 and 2 deck (purely based on the fact that is in order of the book). After doing a little research it seems like the Minna no Nihongo deck is based on the 2002 versions of the books. Can anyone confirm this? Also, it seems like it would be best to buy the Japanese version of the Minna no Nihongo book along with the English translation. Does anyone disagree with this? beginner textbook with anki deck with audio? - Inny Jan - 2014-09-20 partner55083777 Wrote:Also, it seems like it would be best to buy the Japanese version of the Minna no Nihongo book along with the English translation. Maybe one day I'll go back and tidy it up but I can't really be bothered at this stage. I'm currently working on a Intergrated approach to intermediate Japanese Deck, but it won't be ready for a while. beginner textbook with anki deck with audio? - brianjung - 2015-05-09 Hi - I can't find the Genki deck from the link https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/3894365375 - It get "invalild id" now. Is there another download link somewhere, or would somebody be kind enough to upload it?just uploaded it: http://www.mediafire.com/download/oxj5xcbfxcc9qa5/Nayrs_Genki_Annihilation_-_Complete_v1.apkg that's the original file as i downloaded from ankiweb. the current version of anki appears to be unable to play back the last 250 mp3 files (out of 1000) for some reason, at least for me. i assume other people have had this problem as well, though i didn't see any mention of it (excuse me if i'm wrong). it appears to be anki's fault because if i drop those files into "mplayer" inside the anki program folder, those last 250 mp3's only play part way before cutting out, whereas any other program plays them fine. i assume this problem wasn't there originally, which is why there's no mention of it, but i'm not sure. anyway, that's just a heads-up in case anyone else runs into the same issue. personally, i'm long done with genki. you can still listen to those last mp3's outside anki by pulling them out and making a playlist to use with whatever media player you use. of course, doing it that way, you'll only have the audio without the text. |
