Looking for title of large format Japanese men's magazine - john555 - 2014-09-16
I'm looking at Japanese magazines to get exposure to real Japanese. Can anyone suggest a glossy Japanese men's magazine (maybe similar to Esquire)? I'm currently browsing through issues of a magazine called "婦人画報" but this is a ladies' magazine and I think I've had my fill of recipes and cosmetics.
What I like about it though is it is a "large format" (approx. 9" by 12"). Looking for similar but for guys. Thanks.

I don't know of any Japan-specific men's magazines. However, both Esquire and GQ have Japanese editions. You can probably buy them from anywhere that sells other Japanese magazines. You might also want to look out for Men's Vogue, as that is still published in some parts of the world, though I don't know about Japan.

I also thought of going to the website of the company that publishes 婦人画報 (Hearst). They also publish this men's magazine "Men's Club" (note: title is in romaji!):

Men's ex is a great magazine. Last is good as well, but somewhat hard to find.
