Your favorite Japanese forums/message boards? - Termy - 2014-09-06
Perhaps there are topics similar to this one but I haven't really found what I'm looking for.
Question 1: What are your favorite forums/message boards in Japanese?
Question 2: do you have recommendations for forums like where Japanese natives discuss things like books (science fiction, fantasy, anything really), Japanese natives learning english (would be interesting to read and pick up the grammar from such discussions) sort of like this message board, PC games, miscellaneous topics (most big forums have a subforum with that).
I'm aware of places like 2ch but the layout there is tiresome to look at when everything is so jumbled. I like the standard sort of forum design like here on koohii, with several interesting subforums... I've done some googling but haven't come up with anything really good (I even asked natives on Lang8, but didn't get any real suggestions).

I just googled 小説 BBS and came across this site: http://www.kakiko.info/bbs_talk/index.cgi
If you think 2ch has bad layout, then use Desktop2ch.tv...everything is organized nicely there.

Well if a topic has gruesome stuff it would usually have a warning like 閲覧注意
But most of the threads are pretty safe.

If this gets you confused then I don't know what to tell you. There's every topic imaginable from fishing to painting to video games to hip-hop to NFL football.
And you can search for what you want to look for at the top as well.
The only downside is that there are annoying ads promoting adult games.
