Hi All,

I've started the Heisig method a few days ago, and have since discovered this great site - this is a truly marvelous learning resource.

I've noticed one thing that's been throwing me - as far as I can tell, there is no way to flip through the cards in order. I can see the whole list of frames and select characters individually, but that means I have to either click back or load new pages, and both are inconvenient.

Of course, some cards you've already reviewed, and you don't want to "see" them again until they expire. However, the cards in the very first box are ones you've not yet learned. As you go through learning them, it would be good to just cycle through them with prev/next buttons.

Do any of the more experienced users feel this is a limitation? Or am I missing the point of the exercise? よろしくたのむ

What do you mean by flipping through them in order?

Under the Study tab you can flip through the cards one by one in numerical order.

Flipping through them in order after learning them is only useful if you plan to encounter them in order. Well, not completely, but to truly test your memory of a keyword->kanji relationship, a random order is best. The numerical order is useful for learning them at the very beginning, but once you have learned them, and you need to start reviewing them, you need to start going in random order, and that's what this site does best. It's also a sure-fire way to find every weak link in your memory.

If you truly want to test the kanji in order (a very bad idea in my opinion since the characters are grouped by components and you'll be giving yourself hints) you can use an application such as Kanjigym.

From the Study menu you can browse the kanji in order and then just click the next button. But as others say, you'll be giving yourself hints because they're grouped together using the same primitives.

In the old study section when I clicked the 'Learned' button the site automatically took me to the next failed kanji. Now it takes me back to the home of the study section, then I have to load the list of failed kanjis and then click on the next failed kanji. That's very inconvenient and I'd really like to have the old system back please.
