Fundamentals of Japanese Grammar - rich_f - 2008-02-14 I saw this book advertised by rolomail, and was wondering if anyone has tried it yet. It looks to be a new release from the University of Hawai'i press, but the details are a little vague as to the actual contents of the book. If anyone has any info, I'd love to hear it. (I'm always looking for more reference books.) Fundamentals of Japanese Grammar - Jarvik7 - 2008-02-14 My university actually uses that book for a 2nd year course that is kind of a primer for the 3rd year Japanese linguistics course. My Japanese level was deemed to be too high to be allowed to take the course, but from what I hear it basically seems to be an overview of the grammar that you would learn in the first 4 semesters of Japanese (Nakama 1&2 here), but from more of a bottom up perspective. If you are already an advanced beginner/early intermediate don't expect to learn anything new, but you can make your knowledge more solid... it seems... |
