JLPT Sample Test Apps? - Khakionion - 2014-06-18

Hello! I've been absent from the forum for a while, but the JLPT is coming up fast (N2 this year!), and my normal strategy for the last few weeks before the test is to drop the flashcards etc, and drill hard on sample tests/questions.

In the past I've done that with good old paper, but does anyone have recommendations for apps on iOS (or really any OS)? In particular I'd like to take timed sample tests, or simply drill on questions formatted like JLPT (find the word closest in meaning, that weird sentence-ordering type, etc).

Price isn't too much of an issue. I'll gladly pay if it's worth the cash. I've tried a few apps from the iOS App Store, but either 1) they're zero-usability trainwrecks, or 2) they use Simplified Chinese for their text(AAARGH).

So...any recommendations? (And good luck, JLPTers!)

Any OS? I could give you a list of Android apps which helped, but if you don't have an android device it won't help much...http://nihongonoki.com/study/ is a web app with mobile app versions, which was nice for quick study sessions. Level 2 is N2/N3 level, and using the app helped with passing N2 & N1.
Good luck!!

I remember JLPT Exercise being helpful for N1 grammar/vocab. It has N2 questions as well (about 2000 for each level). Don't expect any fancy features though. It's just a list of drag-and-drop multiple-choice questions.

Sorry I don't know. Only posting here because I just picked up this today and thought it might be relevant (three N2 mock exams), but maybe you have this already:

I'm not the op, but I would be interested in a list of android apps.

Sure, any OS within reason. I probably won't kickoff a Plan 9 install or anything, but Android's fine! Tongue

Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone. Indeed, that "Nihongo no Ki" app looks great for quick subway-sessions, etc.
