Every time I encounter a new word, I go to jisho.org, define it, and put it in my Anki deck. So far, I have ~600 words I've encountered in context.
Additionally, every time a new word pops up in Anki, I add it to a memo file on my iPod. I have the pronunciation in kana on the right and the word (usually the words I add have kanji) on the left, the English definition in my head. When I learn the pronunciation, I delete it and drill from just the kanji.
This works amazingly well, as when I get bored in class I can just pull it out and start reviewing, and it's satisfying to backspace the pronunciation and know for sure that I know the word.
It's worked great for a few weeks, but here is my dilemma:
I learn about 15 new words a day, so that's 15 new words added to the list. This was fine for when I had 45 words, but now I've got about 200 in there, and whenever I want to review the entire list to make sure I've retained them, it can take 20-30 minutes, depending on how focused I am! I can only imagine what will happen when I get to 2000.
So here's my question:
Does anyone have a way to study "smart" vocab lists outside of Anki? I don't have the grammar skills to be reading articles and retaining words that way, but just for as long as my grammar isn't so great, is there a better way to study vocab lists like this? Maybe smaller vocabulary lists (~45 words) that I review in a stepped system a bit like Anki?

So you use Anki? You can just get the app and do cram decks when you're bored. Make a deck with something like prop:ivl<5 or something, and it will show you recently learned or forgotten words (anything with an interval less than 5 days). Just make sure you set it to not reschedule words based on your answers and it won't affect your normal reps.

The AnkiWeb study method should let you use a prepared deck too if I'm not mistaken, so you can make a cram deck and then review using a web browser.
