I didn't mean to imply that you do, just that I did and it worked for me, so let me rephrase that. The best thing I did for my Japanese was ditch anki, and the second best thing I did was take it up again.

Btw. I can set in anki on my smartphone to automatically show answer after x seconds, but can't get it to work on desktop anki even after downloading addon for it. Has anyone got it working on the desktop version?

I can't enjoy the material properly if I have to concentrate on finding good words to insert/unlock in Anki at the same time. Core is very convenient in that I can easily learn a set number of words each day in a relatively static amount of time.
I'm at around 8000 words into Core right now, and honestly it feels like most of those have been very useful so far.
Two questions - andikaze - 2014-04-17
I loaded the deck I'm doing, do my repetitions with my new cards set to zero and just add as many as I wanna learn via custom study every day. Spending more time with ANKI itself than the cards doesn't make sense to me.
