Hi,
I have an electronic J-E dict and I'm using it when I know the reading, and I thought It is nice to get a book Like Kodansha Kanji Dict. to search a word when I do not know the reading.
On the second thought, maybe it is good to get a dictionary only in japanese and to get rid of the english. You maybe have more experience (I'm finishing Genki 2) did such book will make sense or will confuse me more?????
If yes please recommend me a good one for my level (an explainatory one or a kanji one?) as I see several used in amazon.JP at low price (almost free).

Some people use only a phone-based dictionary. I use a Casio X-Word:

Personally, I think that the electronic dictionaries are a lot more useful, and I don't see any reason to switch to J-J lookup currently. You can do that, though, in the electronic dictionaries, if you'd like. The Casio is expensive, but has J-J and kanji dictionaries. A lot of people are using phone apps, though, which can be a lot cheaper.
