I'm sure the Chinese won't be a problem, maybe it's going to be slightly confusing at first, but you'd get used to ignoring it. Geez, people used to learn Japanese with far less than we have. You don't need a Japanese-only book written in vertical text with furigana and explanations of difficult words. The only requirement is that YOU put effort into your studies. This is an easy way to prevent seeing the translations you don't want to see. Before I was introduced to this idea, I just used a piece of card stock and cut a small piece off of it to help screen text I didn't want to see. I am not a bookseller and I will not personally profit in any way if anyone buys these books.
