Yet another kanji learning game for Android - fzort - 2014-02-24 Hey all, I wonder if it's okay to spam this forum a bit with a link to our jukugo puzzle game Kasui, for Android: http://games.fzort.org/kasui/ It's free (no ads, no in-game purchases, no permissions required, no nothing!), and you'll learn the meanings and readings of such incredibly useful words as 雲海, 年魚, 玉露 and 照葉 as you play. :-) I'd love to hear opinions and suggestions on how to improve it. :-) Thank you very much for reading! Otherwise it's fine. It's a great concept btw. I thought about doing mini-games like that using the user's previously learned kanji, such as a mini crossword puzzle.. maybe someday.. I played a "match letters" style game on iOS and one thing I wished it included, was a way to lookup the word definitions. I thought it was such a missed opportunity, seeing as you often make words that you don't really know, just trying out combinations. Yet another kanji learning game for Android - fzort - 2014-02-24 I'm not expecting to make any money from this game so I figured it would be okay. :-) I've been planning to add a "review" feature to the game for a while. Not yet sure what the best interface for that would be, though. ファブリス Wrote:I thought about doing mini-games like that using the user's previously learned kanji, such as a mini crossword puzzle.. maybe someday..You mean something like this? I think there are a few apps like that for Android. Allowing the user to select the kanji she wants would be great for learners. Yet another kanji learning game for Android - andikaze - 2014-02-26 I installed it and it's fun. I often don't know what the heck I'm doing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing
Yet another kanji learning game for Android - Bokusenou - 2014-02-26 Installed it. Kanji tetris, fun idea! It would be nice if the words you spell stayed longer and didn't bunch up when you have two matches or more at the same time. Also it would be good to be able to save a list of the words you get. Some of them I got by clicking randomly and they disappeared too quickly. The backgrounds were really nice though. I like how they changed with the levels. Overall, great job! Yet another kanji learning game for Android - Zarxrax - 2014-02-26 I want to see a study mode so you can review all the possible words in each stage before you play. Its not really fun if you don't know the words and you are just dropping the tiles down randomly. But it seems like a really fun puzzle game otherwise. Yet another kanji learning game for Android - fzort - 2014-02-27 Thank you very much for the comments, everyone! Mitsue (who did the graphics) has been complaining for a while about the jumbled text when you do a combo. Guess I should work on it next... I think I've played the game so much that I already memorized most of the vocabulary (current high score in challenge mode: 1274) but it definitely needs a review interface! Again, thank you very much for the comments. :-) |
