identify this - Oisi42 - 2008-02-02 I saw what I believe to be a kanji on a pot at work today this is what it looked like. primitives top to bottom :ten, one (connected with one at bottom) then a combination of early and old (mouth ten mouth) and then it is repeat next to it so kinda like t t ten - - one o o mouth t t ten o o mouth im really interested to know what this means so if you know please reply identify this - misha - 2008-02-02 Perhaps it was 喜ぶ ? That's not exactly what you describe (it has one more stroke, among other things), but it's the closest thing I can find. identify this - dihutenosa - 2008-02-03 囍? If that's what you're looking for, Misha had it party right. It's a Chinese character - made up of two 喜s。 It's quite common in China - you'll see it on everything from doors to cigarette packages. More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Happiness_(calligraphy) identify this - timcampbell - 2008-02-03 It's the Chinese character for "double happiness." It represents love, happiness and hope, and is associated with weddings. Check out http://chineseculture.about.com/library/weekly/aa120799a.htm for more. |
