translation help - sparky14 - 2013-12-13 Hey guys, need help understanding a translation... こうやってニートが出来上がっていくのねー So this is how people become NEETs/So this is how people end up becoming NEETs. 出来上がって means to be completed/finished. I don't understand where they got "become" from. Also, when they say いくのね is that the equivalent of 行くのね? The script is from the anime K-ON, and a girl is speaking... if that helps? Thanks. translation help - Vempele - 2013-12-13 sparky14 Wrote:出来上がって means to be completed/finished. I don't understand where they got "become" from. You can't take bilingual dictionary definitions literally. It's more like "to become complete" (and you can apply a similar transformation to many other verbs that the dictionary will define in passive voice) as in a bridge, a book, the solar system, or a painting.
