Sazae san (manga) - GuilhermeJM - 2013-11-27 Hey guys, how are u? Where can I find sazae san (manga)? Is it recommended for beginners? Thanks!
Sazae san (manga) - Bokusenou - 2013-11-27 You can buy it at yesasia.com or kinokuniya.com if you live in a country they have stores in. As for beginner manga, I've seen Yotsubato and Chi's Sweet Home being recommended here a lot, though I haven't read them myself. Sazae san (manga) - SomeCallMeChris - 2013-11-27 You probably have to buy the books to read a lot of it, but maybe there's a torrent somewhere. You can see a few images here, some are only partial strips or covers or whatever, it's just a representative sample of sazae-san through the years, but it will give you an idea before you commit to a book, http://matome.naver.jp/odai/2126683894641453701 I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It's handwritten, inclined to puns, and because it's in comic strip format there's often not a lot of context. If you can already comfortably read your average slice-of-life serialized manga without furigana, then sazae-san could be fun. That's probably more what most people would call 'upper-intermediate'. Sazae san (manga) - GuilhermeJM - 2013-11-27 so...for beginners, what do you recommend? how about doraemon? Sazae san (manga) - SomeCallMeChris - 2013-11-27 I haven't read Doraemon but I've heard that it's a good choice. Sazae san (manga) - tashippy - 2013-11-27 There was a recent discussion ( http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=11332 ) about which of the popular beginner manga are really the best for beginners, although the best one is most certainly whichever you enjoy.
